QA Technician / QA Auditor Package • Temporary contract until February 2027 • £13.20 to £13.70 per hour • Immediate start available • Full training and support provided Temporary Contract | Plymouth Area | Food Manufacturing We are recruiting for a QA Technician / QA Auditor to join a well-established food manufacturing business in the Plymouth area on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on quality assurance role supporting the site's Technical team within a fast-paced production environment. This opportunity is expected to run until February 2027 and would suit someone with previous experience in food manufacturing quality assurance who is looking for a long-term temporary assignment. Key Responsibilities • Carrying out routine quality assurance checks across the production facility • Conducting GMP and housekeeping audits • Completing pre-start and line-start checks • Verifying labels and packaging information • Monitoring CCPs and quality control points • Supporting traceability exercises and investigations • Carrying out hygiene verification activities • Recording and reporting non-conformances • Completing and reviewing quality documentation and factory records • Providing general support to the Technical and Quality teams Candidate Requirements • Previous experience in a QA, Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Technical role within food manufacturing • Good understanding of HACCP principles, GMP standards and allergen management • Experience working within a factory environment, ideally high-care or high-risk production • Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills • Ability to confidently challenge non-compliance and promote quality standards on the factory floor • Good communication and organisational skills • Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic Preferred Experience • Chilled food manufacturing • Cooked meat or poultry production • High-care and high-risk food manufacturing environments • Food safety and quality auditing If you have food manufacturing QA experience and are available for a long-term temporary opportunity in the Plymouth area, we would be interested in hearing from you.
