Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor West Yorkshire | Healthcare Construction | Refurbishment, New Build & Fit-Out Projects Salary: Highly Competitive + Bi-Annual Bonus + Company Car/Car Allowance + Pension Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a thriving contractor with a strong order book, loyal client base and an excellent reputation within the healthcare sector? Our client is a well-established main contractor delivering a diverse range of healthcare, education and specialist construction projects across refurbishment, fit-out and new build environments. Thanks to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a commercially astute Surveyor to join their team based in Halifax. The Opportunity • Working alongside an experienced Commercial Director and established project teams, you will take full commercial responsibility for multiple projects from procurement through to final account. • Projects range in value from £50k to £8m, with most schemes falling between £500k and £2m, providing an excellent mix of varied and technically interesting work. • You'll be joining a business that prides itself on repeat business, quality delivery and maintaining sustainable profit margins, whilst offering genuine long-term career stability and progression. Key Responsibilities • Commercial management of multiple refurbishment, fit-out and new build projects • Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages • Preparation and submission of client valuations • Management and agreement of variations • Cost control and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles • Production of CVRs, profit forecasts, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reports • Preparation and negotiation of final accounts • Working closely with Contracts Managers and Site Managers to ensure commercial success • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where appropriate Requirements • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry • Proven track record delivering refurbishment, fit-out and/or new build projects • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and commercial management • Experience administering and managing projects under JCT contracts, including Design & Build forms • Strong financial and contractual awareness • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Good IT and reporting skills • Healthcare sector experience would be advantageous, but is not essential What's on Offer? • Competitive salary tailored to experience • Six-monthly performance bonus • Company car or car allowance • Pension scheme • Flexible start and finish times • Long-term career stability with a healthy, secured workload • Opportunity to work on prestigious healthcare and specialist construction projects • Supportive and collaborative commercial team environment Location This role is based full-time from the company's West Yorkshire office, Monday to Friday, with site visits as required.
