Job description

Reed, on behalf of United Utilities are recruiting for a number of Reactive Resolution Support operatives to support their fleet team in getting the waggons ready, conduct stock takes and be involved in keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised for the operations to run in a safe efficient manner. Company’ United Utilities Locations:Davy Hulme WWTW Hourly Pay: £15.64 per hour Hours- Monday to Friday- Hours per week: 30 Length of contract: 12 months Job purpose: The Reactive Resolution Support Officer (RRSO) provides a proactive service for the Waste Water Treatment Works Network Delivery Reactive Resolution Teams in a defined county area, to support the smooth operations during shift transitions. Working for the Infrastructure Drainage Delivery manager, the RRSO supports preparing tools, equipment and vehicle for the shifts, ensuring stores are managed effectively and efficiently, teams are well prepared prior to departure, minor defects are resolved and key equipment such as CCTV is more effectively maintained. This role is key to ensuring that the Reactive Resolution Teams, fleet and equipment are in good working order to allow ensure them to deliver first time resolution for customers and increase productivity of the resources. Main responsibilities: • Check for defects on vehicles/emergency plant kit and report to Drainage Delivery Manager • Report new defects identified into transport and the drainage support officer • Ensure that the yard is kept tidy and in accordance with H & S/transport requirements • Assist with preparing Cityflex, van pack units and emergency plant kit so that it is ready to be used in an event • Assist with first line maintenance of vehicles, emergency plant, stores and equipment in accordance with relevant training and TBRAs / GRAs • Ensure that all specialist equipment, such as man-entry equipment and gas detectors are calibrated and certified for use • Compliance with good practice H&S processes associated with equipment and processes required of the job • Manage access and egress to stores, recording levels and raising orders through the Drainage Support Officer. • Ensure contractor suppliers carry out vehicle defect checks prior to leaving the yard • Audits of vehicles for compliance with vehicle cleanliness standard and safety checks • Ensure changing areas and yard areas are kept in good order, and working with Drainage Delivery Manager on creating the ethos around site standards • Liaise with framework suppliers and UU Fleet to ensure vehicles and equipment are repaired in a timely manner • Basic data entry into reporting tools to allow analysis by drainage support officer in support of more efficient operations Skills, qualifications and experience: • Educated to level 2 i.e. GCSE or equivalent, including mathematics and English at grades A-C • Good organisational skills • Good time management skills - able to work to deadline and achieve objectives • Ability to work as a member of a team • Effective communication skills – able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders • Flexibility and a willingness to support others • Flexible approach to the working day • Good understanding of use and maintenance of plant and equipment • Demonstrable high regard for H&S policy and procedures • Driving License (max 6 penalty points) • Experience with Microsoft Office products To be considered for this role please forward an up-to-date CV.
