Real Estate Relationship Manager City of London Hybrid (4/1 split) Permanent £50,000 - £70,000 cer Financial are working alongside an international bank, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Real Estate Relationship Manager with good credit skills to work alongside the origination team and also asiist with bringing new clientel on will include: The responsibilities of the Real Estate Credit RM will include: • Assist Head of Real Estate Origination in identifying and analysing new opportunities ensuring delivery of business objectives. • Serve as the first point of contact for clients and correspondent banks and helping to grow the portfolio • Handling of portfolio management involving client meetings to gain understanding of their business, financial performance & risks. Monitoring of allocated portfolio and industries for material developments affecting credit quality and the initiation of appropriate action. • Identify Watch triggers, EWIs and recommend robust, bespoke and innovative workout strategies whilst avoiding cost carrying issues. • Prepare and submit quality credit proposals (new and enhancements) whilst ensuring adherence to credit policies. • Conduct periodic annual reviews, and where required, prepare Watch submissions and review customer due diligence writeups. • Undertake stress scenarios with forward looking cash modelling and demonstrate understanding of Risk Ranking tool, Pricing tool and PD model input. • Assess Buy-to-Let (BTL) and commercial real estate lending applications against credit policy and delegated authority limit • Support Senior RMs with admin and compliance tasks • Perform credit analysis to objectively diagnose and evaluate the Credit risks of an assigned portfolio as well as monitoring the Bank’s exposure and analysing the profitability clients generate for the Bank. • Review and analyse financial information and credit applications. • Raise and resolve queries with Relationship Managers (RMs) within agreed turnaround times. • Ensure all material issues are addressed before submission for final credit approval. • Identify and escalate weaknesses or gaps in the credit approval process. • Prepare and maintain credit proposals and documentation in line with internal standards • Review monthly and quarterly portfolio reports. • Prepare reports for sanctioning committees and annual credit reviews. • Maintain accurate electronic credit files and track outstanding information requests. • Ensure compliance with group credit policies and regulatory requirements. • Liaise with Credit Administration, Finance, Compliance, Audit and other stakeholders. • Keep up to date with changes in lending regulations, policies, systems and business activities. The successful candidate will have: • Strong academic background and professional qualifications. • 2-5 years' experience in commercial or real estate origiation or credit/risk management. • Direct experience in credit decision-making and sanctioning processes. • Experience with commercial real estate and residential lending portfolios. • Exposure to sectors such as offices, hotels, student accommodation, Buy-to-Let, and residential mortgages is advantageous. • Strong understanding of the UK SME lending market. • Excellent financial analysis skills and ability to interpret financial statements. • Good understanding of credit risk assessment, including risks and mitigants for on- and off-balance-sheet facilities. • Knowledge of credit approval, portfolio monitoring and risk management practices. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential credit issues. • Good stakeholder management and communication skills. • Proficient in Excel, spreadsheets and database tools. • Ability to work within KPI-driven turnaround times and manage multiple priorities.
