Reception Teacher - Full Time - Islington - September 2026 Start A friendly and community-driven one-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking an experienced and passionate Reception Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and dedicated EYFS practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality early education and fostering a love of learning from the very start. The Role: * Full-time position (Monday to Friday) * Working hours: 08:30am - 4:00pm * September 2026 start * Inner London MPS 1-6 (£206.75 - £268.21 PAYE per day) * Full class teacher responsibilities * Interviews and trial days taking place shortly The School: * Welcoming, supportive, and well-led environment * Strong focus on creativity, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing * Collaborative and friendly staff team * Well-resourced EYFS provision The Ideal Candidate Will: * Hold UK QTS (please note, ECTs will not be considered) * Have strong experience and knowledge of the EYFS framework * Be confident delivering high-quality phonics teaching * Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and stimulating lessons * Be passionate about supporting early development and transition into KS1 * Demonstrate strong behaviour management and assessment skills * Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS framework * Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment * Support early literacy, numeracy, and communication development * Deliver high-quality phonics and early reading sessions * Monitor and assess pupil progress across all areas of learning * Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL * Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development * Provide a balance of structured and play-based learning opportunities * Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and staff * Prepare pupils for a smooth and confident transition into Year 1 This is a brilliant opportunity to join a school that truly values high-quality Early Years education and staff development.
