Job description

Receptionist • Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience) • Location: St Albans • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Join a Top 50 accountancy practice recognised as one of the top 100 Great Places to Work. We are looking for a motivated and organised Receptionist to enhance our front of house operations in St Albans. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in a professional setting, providing exceptional client service and administrative support. Day-to-day of the role: • Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner. • Handle all incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency. • Perform general reception duties such as booking couriers, ordering lunches, and managing incoming and outgoing mail. • Input archive data and assist in transitioning to paperless archiving. • Manage client records and ensure the safekeeping of client documents. • Maintain meeting rooms and prepare refreshments for client meetings. • Assist with general administration across various departments as needed. • Engage in diary management, drafting correspondence, and supporting HR and Learning & Development teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum of three years’ professional experience in a receptionist or front of house role, or experience in hospitality or retail with customer-facing responsibilities. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Experience with CCH or similar Document Management System is desirable but not essential. • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain a high degree of attention to detail. • Proactive and self-reliant, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
