Recovery WorkerLocation: W9 2JD Pay Rate:£14.50 per hour + Holiday Pay (HP) Contract: Temporary/Ongoing Hours: Full-time (Shift pattern to be confirmed) About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a dedicated Recovery Worker to join a leading substance misuse service in W9 2JD. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse to achieve sustainable recovery. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a caseload of service users, deliver structured interventions, and support individuals to reduce harm, improve wellbeing, and work towards positive recovery outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Manage a caseload of clients with substance misuse support needs. • Complete comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans. • Deliver structured one-to-one key work sessions and recovery-focused interventions. • Provide harm reduction advice and promote safer practices. • Support clients to access healthcare, housing, employment, education, and community services. • Monitor client progress and regularly review recovery plans. • Liaise effectively with partner agencies including healthcare professionals, probation, housing providers, and social services. • Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with organisational policies. • Promote safeguarding and follow all relevant policies and procedures. Requirements • Previous experience working as a Recovery Worker, Substance Misuse Worker, Drug & Alcohol Worker, or in a similar support role. • Experience managing a caseload and completing assessments. • Knowledge of substance misuse, harm reduction, safeguarding, and recovery-focused practice. • Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Strong IT and record-keeping skills. Desirable • Experience working with opiate, non-opiate, alcohol, or dual-diagnosis clients. • Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. • Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Substance Misuse, or a related field.
