Red Cell Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Independently manage a patient caseload, utilising advanced clinical decision-making and extended practice skills. Lead haemoglobinopathy/Red Cells practitioner-led clinics, taking responsibility for individualised care planning and contributing to annual reviews. Conduct ward rounds independently and in collaboration with medical staff, as required. Develop and maintain individualised care plans for patients within practitioner-led clinics, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated. Coordinate and deliver specialist interventional procedures for Sickle Cell patients, such as patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) and apheresis, when required. Respond promptly to the needs of inpatients by reviewing care plans and prescribing care and treatment regimens within your professional scope of practice.
