Refuse Loader • Location: Kirklees, Emerald Street Depot, HD1 • Job Type: Full-time • Salary: £13.26 per hour • Hours: 38 hours per week, 5am - 3pm, 4.5 days a week Join the Kirklees Council's Trade Waste service as a Refuse Loader. This role is essential in maintaining community cleanliness and environmental standards by efficiently managing waste collection. Day-to-day of the role: • Start and finish each day at the Kirklees Emerald Street Depot. • Load and unload waste materials from residential and commercial properties into collection vehicles. • Operate in compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure safe handling and transport of waste. • Work collaboratively with the team to complete routes efficiently and assist with the maintenance of equipment. • Communicate effectively with team members and the public, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. • Adapt to varying weather conditions and physical demands of the job. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Physical fitness and ability to handle demanding tasks. • Good teamwork and communication skills. • Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to start early in the morning. • No specific qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is advantageous. • Commitment to safety and efficiency.
