Job description

Regional Business Manager – Electronics & OEM Solutions South West England & South Wales Field Based Join a business where curiosity is valued as highly as commercial success. Are you an energetic, technically minded sales professional who enjoys solving problems rather than simply selling products? Do you thrive on building long-term customer relationships, understanding complex engineering challenges and helping customers develop innovative products? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. We're recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised electronics manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for quality, innovation and technical excellence. As the business continues to grow across the UK, we're looking for a Regional Business Manager to take ownership of the South West England and South Wales territory. This isn't a high-volume transactional sales role. It's a consultative position where your technical curiosity, commercial awareness and relationship-building skills will genuinely make a difference. The Role You'll be responsible for developing sales across a portfolio of electromechanical solutions, including switches, connectors, I/O systems, thermal management and assembly products. Working closely with engineers, designers and procurement specialists, you'll support customers from the earliest design stages through to production, becoming a trusted technical and commercial partner throughout the entire product lifecycle. You'll manage an established customer base while identifying new opportunities, creating strategic account plans and driving sustainable growth across your territory. Projects often span months and sometimes years - so success comes from patience, organisation, credibility and consistently delivering value. Your territory covers South West England and South Wales, including the NP, CF, BA, BS, EX, PO, DT, SW, PL and TR postcode areas. About You We're looking for someone who combines commercial drive with genuine technical curiosity. You enjoy asking questions, understanding how things work and uncovering opportunities others miss. You're equally comfortable discussing technical specifications with design engineers as you are negotiating commercial agreements with procurement teams. You'll ideally bring: • A degree in Electronics, Engineering or a related technical discipline. • At least two years' success within technical sales, electronics, engineering or an OEM environment. • Experience of design-led or specification sales. • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent commercial awareness. • High levels of energy, resilience and self-motivation. • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills. • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout your territory, with occasional international travel. Why Join? This organisation invests heavily in its people. From day one, you'll receive comprehensive technical and commercial training, giving you the knowledge and confidence to become a genuine specialist within your market. You'll enjoy the autonomy to manage your territory while being supported by an experienced UK team and a global network of technical experts. If you're ambitious, there is a clearly defined career path with genuine opportunities for professional development and progression. Despite being part of a successful international organisation, the UK business has retained a close-knit, collaborative culture where people genuinely support one another and success is recognised. The Package Alongside a competitive salary, you'll receive a robust bonus and commission structure, company car or allowance, private healthcare, generous pension contributions, life assurance, wellbeing benefits and ongoing investment in your personal and professional development. If you're looking for a career where your technical interest, commercial ability and natural curiosity will be rewarded, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today for a confidential conversation.
