Job description
•
Manage patients from the
Navy, Army and RAF that present with musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and deliver
appropriate exercise rehabilitation to return serving personnel to full fitness
and maximise operational effectiveness.
•
Perform appropriate
clinical assessments and design and implement safe and progressive exercise
treatment programmes for patients in accordance with the ERI Standards of
Proficiency to Practice.
•
Keep a record of all
specific treatments given including individual patient programme exercises and
group therapy sessions.
•
Delivering group-based
exercise therapy sessions (up to a max of 15 patients) to restore normal
function in co-ordination, balance, posture, walking/running re-education,
lifting and carrying, mobilisation and strengthening, recreational therapy and
pool-based rehab/fitness sessions.
•
Work as an integral member
of a multi-disciplinary team provide a comprehensive and professional rehab
service.
•
Develop good working
relationships and work collaboratively with managers and members of the
multi-disciplinary team.
•
Adhere and contribute to
all aspects of clinical governance and assurance.
•
Communicate effectively
with patients to ensure informed consent for treatment, good understanding of
their condition and treatment plan.
•
To communicate complex
information clearly through presentations and in writing to patients and other
members of the MDT.
