Repairs SurveyorLocation: South East London Rate: £226.57 per day Umbrella Contract: 3-month contract Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to join a local authority in South East London on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor with experience in responsive repairs, disrepair, and property maintenance to play a key role in maintaining a high-quality housing service. Key Responsibilities • Carry out inspections of residential properties to identify repair and maintenance requirements. • Prepare specifications, schedules of work and cost estimates for responsive repairs. • Manage repair works from inspection through to completion, ensuring quality and value for money. • Investigate reports of disrepair and ensure works are completed in line with relevant legislation and timescales. • Monitor contractor performance and ensure works meet the required standards. • Undertake post-inspections to assess the quality of completed repairs. • Provide technical advice and support to residents, contractors and internal teams. • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, building regulations and council policies. • Maintain accurate records and produce detailed inspection reports. Requirements • Previous experience working as a Repairs Surveyor, Building Surveyor or Maintenance Surveyor. • Experience within a local authority, housing association or social housing environment is highly desirable. • Strong knowledge of building construction, repairs and maintenance. • Experience managing contractors and monitoring repair programmes. • Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills. • Full UK driving licence is desirable.
