• Contribute to a high quality evidence base for the organisation by using quantitative and qualitative research methods, supporting the development of robust, accurate and timely analysis.
• Support proactive and reactive research and analysis projects across multiple policy areas, working with colleagues across the strategic policy directorate, networks, communications and commercial teams.
• Deliver high quality desk based research and analytical outputs that support policy briefings, media enquiries and external publications, ensuring work is accurate, clear and well presented.
• Build and analyse member research, including surveys, to improve understanding of the challenges facing members and the NHS, accurately reflecting member views and maintain up to date and reliable member information.
• Monitor and analyse NHS performance and health datasets, including tracking activity, targets, quality and patient experience metrics, identifying trends and supporting colleagues with insight - often at pace.
• Maintain data quality in central spreadsheets and dashboards, while implementing good data cleaning and validation processes and using high-quality data visualisations to effectively communicate findings through graphs, infographics and dashboards.
• Apply project management practices across projects and tasks, working with other team members to set milestones, engage stakeholders, and present findings clearly to internal and external audiences.
• Manage own workload and contribute effectively to the team, delivering agreed research tasks to time, building relationships across the directorate, and developing skills in different research methods and analytical tools.
