We're looking for a passionate Early Years professional to join our leadership team at our high-quality nursery near Billericay. The Role As our Room-Based Third-in-Charge, you'll lead your own room while supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery. You'll help maintain outstanding standards and take responsibility for the nursery when required. Key Responsibilities • Lead and inspire your room team to deliver outstanding childcare and education • Support the daily running of the nursery alongside the management team • Act as key holder, including opening and closing the nursery when required • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and compliance • Ensure staff ratios, registers and daily routines run smoothly • Coach, mentor and support the development of your team • Monitor children's learning, observations and planning to ensure high-quality outcomes • Build strong partnerships with children, families and colleagues • Support inspections, quality improvement and continuous development • Promote the nursery and provide excellent customer service • Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Manager or Deputy Manager What We're Looking For • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above • Experience as a Room Leader or senior Early Years practitioner • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills • A positive, enthusiastic and child-centred approach Benefits • Very competitive salary • Up to 100% staff childcare discount • Bupa Employee Assistance Programme • Extra annual leave after two years' service (up to five additional days) • Less paperwork, giving you more time with the children • State-of-the-art technology, including tablets and our Parent App • Excellent pay based on experience and qualifications • Generous holiday entitlement • Ongoing training and genuine career progression • Free DBS and uniform
