Job Purpose
To provide high-quality, evidence-based general medical services to registered patients, contributing to the effective functioning and development of the practice.
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary care consultations
• Manage acute presentations and long-term conditions
• Undertake clinical examinations and make appropriate referrals
• Prescribe medications and treatments safely
• Provide health promotion and disease prevention advice
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with professional standards
Professional Responsibilities
• Maintain GMC registration and licence to practise
• Remain on the NHS England Performers List
• Engage in continuing professional development and appraisal
• Participate in clinical governance and audit
• Work in accordance with practice policies and NHS regulations
Team & Service Development
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
• Support teaching, supervision, and mentoring where appropriate
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development
• Promote a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement
