We are looking for a Salaried General Practitioner for 4 sessions per week
Poole Town Surgery is a supportive practice serving a patient population of 5000. Our team includes 2 partners, 2 salaried GPs, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), a Practice Nurse, a Healthcare Assistant, and a highly efficient admin team. We are also a teaching practice, regularly hosting F2 doctors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct consultations, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records using SystmOne.
• Manage a personal patient list and contribute to the duty rota, covering urgent care and same-day appointments.
• Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nursing and administrative staff, to ensure smooth and effective patient care.
• Participate in the supervision and teaching of F2 doctors, sharing knowledge and contributing to their training and development.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks such as reviewing test results, referrals, and prescriptions.
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with CQC standards.
What Were Looking For:
• Fully qualified GP, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the GP register.
• Experience in primary care with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Someone who is proactive, organised, and able to manage their workload efficiently.
• Comfortable with paperwork and able to handle occasional IT challenges.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the overall development of the practice.
