To provide high-quality, safe and effective medical services to the practice population whilst working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team. • Conduct patient consultations, examinations and assessments. • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses. • Develop and review patient management and treatment plans. • Safely prescribe and review medications in accordance with local and national guidance. • Provide health promotion and preventative care. • Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other healthcare professionals. • Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous patient records. • Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits and quality improvement activities. • Support achievement of QOF and enhanced service objectives. • Work collaboratively with all members of the practice team. • Comply with GMC guidance, NHS regulations and practice policies. • Undertake all duties normally associated with a GP working within primary care.
