Job description

As a Salaried GP at Yalding Surgery, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population. Your responsibilities will include: • Providing comprehensive medical care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. • Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and long-term conditions, referring patients appropriately in line with local and national guidance. • Prescribing safely and cost-effectively in accordance with NHS, NICE and local prescribing policies. • Undertaking home visits when clinically appropriate. • Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, pathology results and associated administration in a timely manner. • Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web. • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated patient care. • Participating in the shared duty doctor rota and contributing fairly to the clinical workload. • Supporting quality improvement, clinical governance, audit and QOF activities where appropriate. • Contributing to practice meetings, service development and the continued success of the practice and Primary Care Network. • Maintaining professional registration, appraisal, revalidation and continuing professional development in line with GMC requirements. • Working in accordance with practice policies, safeguarding responsibilities and current legislation.
