Salaried GP

Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMC contract, additional, and enhanced services contracts along with agreed non-NHS work (medicals, reports etc.). Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, and dealing with correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols including providing health education Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to a high standard Complete referrals where appropriate including for any suggested diagnostic testing and report on results to patients as required Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary It is expected that the post-holder will undertake all the duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within Primary Care Attend team meetings and other clinical meetings as necessary Provide clinical support for colleagues including assisting with the mentoring and training of colleagues as part of the Practice's commitment to lifelong-learning. Comply with all relevant organisation policies and procedures including but not limited to confidentiality, data protection, health & safety, infection control etc. Undertake mandatory training as determined by the Practice Reflect on personal practice through SEA, appraisals and patient complaints.
