A range of regular clinical duties, including: Face to face consultations Telephone consultation Duty doctor responsibilities Routine follow-up (e.g. pathology, referrals, hospital correspondence, prescriptions) Home visits Planned care/chronic disease management Acute care Involvement in practice-level clinical decision making The post-holder will be expected to undertake a share of non-clinical duties within the practice, including: Involvement/engagement with practice PCN duties/meetings Participation in practice meetings (clinical and otherwise) Involvement with practice-level administrative/business decision making Involvement in service development and quality improvement The role will involve engaging in all the regular duties of a GP, making professional and autonomous decisions where necessary, while being guided by overall practice policies, work streams, and procedures, consulting with senior GP colleagues for collective decision making where necessary, and all responsibilities associated within a GP working within primary care.
