Job description
Job summary
We are a large successful training practice across two
dispensing sites with a practice owned on site Pharmacy and an award-winning
research team.
We are passionate about a high standard of health and
wellbeing for our staff and our patients. We are looking for someone who will
share this vision and thrive with us.
We would like to appoint a salaried GP (with the option of
partnership) to join our large multidisciplinary
practice.
We would welcome applications for 6-9 sessions per week
with a starting salary of £11,700 per session per annum for newly qualified GPs or£12,012 per session per annum for GPs with 3+ years experience, with opportunities for additional income.
Main duties of the job
We introduced telephone consulting over 9 years ago. We have
continually improved our system to achieve good patient access and satisfaction;
whilst still allowing the GPs to remain in control of their workload and their
day.
We have worked hard to reduce the level of administrative
work for our GPs through our skilled Medical Secretary team processing tasks and correspondence and medical reports; Medicines Management team dealing with
medication queries and reconciliation; clinical support to help reduce
pathology processing and an Administrative Support team to assist with QOF, systems, coding
and data.
We encourage all our staff to take opportunities to develop
other interests to enhance their day-to-day general practice. We would
encourage any new GPs to develop other skills that would contribute to the
practice or work with us on any of the following:
• Training
GP registrars, F2 doctors, pharmacists, and nurses.
• Working
with our dedicated research team.
• Supporting
the dispensaries and practice owned on-site pharmacy.
• Women's
health clinics
• Substance
misuse clinics
• Minor
operations and joint injections
• Green
Impact for Health Platinum Award
• GP
appraisals
• Universal
Personalised Care
• Veteran Friendly Accreditation
Each day the on-call GP is supported by a team of Advanced
Nurse Practitioners, Physios, Clinical Pharmacists, and a full-time Social Prescriber as well as our Nursing and Admin Teams. For a practice of this size, we have a small number of
daily home visit requests.
Our large clinical team is supported by a dynamic,
well-structured management and administrative team to allow smooth and
efficient running of the practice. This also enables us to seize opportunities
to innovate and further improve our patient care and the wellbeing of our
staff.
