About the Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturer within the contract furniture industry, with over 50 years of experience supplying high-quality furniture solutions across the UK.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Co-ordinator to join their friendly and experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a successful and expanding business.
Working Hours
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 1:30pm
The Role
As a Business Development Co-ordinator, you'll be responsible for generating new business opportunities while developing relationships with both prospective and existing customers.
Acting as the first point of contact for many new clients, you'll research potential customers, make outbound calls, respond to enquiries and book appointments for the external Business Development team. You'll work closely with colleagues to ensure they have all the information they need to convert opportunities into new business.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and target new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Generate and qualify sales leads.
• Book appointments for the external sales team.
• Upsell and cross-sell products and services where appropriate.
• Ask open-ended questions to understand customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer records using the CRM system.
• Work towards appointment booking targets.
• Occasionally accompany the sales team on customer visits and attend exhibitions.
About You
We're looking for a confident, outgoing and self-motivated individual who enjoys speaking to people and building lasting relationships.
You'll Have:
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, business development or lead generation.
• Confidence communicating with customers over the phone.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build rapport and identify customer needs.
• Good IT and organisational skills.
• A proactive, positive and resilient approach.
• The confidence to work towards targets and deliver results.
Experience within manufacturing, furniture, upholstery or other B2B environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
