Scheduler Location: Southbourne Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Scheduler to join a busy and growing maintenance team based in Southbourne. This role is key to ensuring the effective coordination of reactive, responsive, and planned maintenance works, supporting engineers, clients, and internal teams to deliver a high-quality service. The Role As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing workflows, coordinating engineers, and ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently and in line with service level agreements. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Work Allocation • Allocate daily and weekly jobs to engineers, ensuring clear instructions are provided • Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs effectively • Schedule planned maintenance, void works, and small projects • React quickly to changes, adjusting schedules based on availability and client needs • Monitor job progress and ensure updates are consistently recorded Communication & Coordination • Act as a key point of contact for clients, engineers, and internal teams • Manage incoming enquiries via phone, email, and client portals • Maintain clear, professional communication at all times • Escalate issues where necessary to management Job Monitoring & Compliance • Review engineer updates, notes, and supporting documentation • Ensure all job records are accurate, complete, and compliant • Track jobs from instruction through to completion • Identify and flag any concerns around quality, safety, or deadlines Materials & Logistics • Order materials and liaise with suppliers on availability and delivery • Manage deliveries into the office, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation • Maintain clear records of materials ordered and issued Administration • Prepare quotes, estimates, and invoices using internal systems • Update job management systems and internal trackers • Support reporting and general administrative functions • Assist colleagues and management with additional tasks when required About You • Strong organisational and multitasking skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment • Confident using scheduling systems and digital tools • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards • A calm, solutions-focused approach • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams What’s on Offer • Stable, full-time permanent position • Opportunity to join a supportive and growing team • Varied day-to-day role with real responsibility If you’re an experienced coordinator or administrator looking to take on a dynamic scheduling role within a maintenance environment, we would love to hear from you.
