Science Technician Job Overview We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician to join our ambitious and supportive secondary school. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive contribution to their education. The successful candidate will join the school at an exciting stage in its development and will play an important role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within the Science department. The Role The Science Technician will provide essential support across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and maintaining practical resources and equipment Coordinating day-to-day organisation of science resources Ensuring health & safety, COSHH and risk assessments are followed Checking, cleaning, maintaining and repairing equipment Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate records Supporting students during lessons to promote independence Assisting with supervision duties when required The post holder will also: Support student wellbeing and report concerns appropriately Follow safeguarding, GDPR and school policies at all times Undertake relevant training and carry out duties as directed This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving school and make a meaningful difference to students' learning and experience.
