The RoleAs our Science Technician, you will work closely with teaching staff to ensure practical science lessons run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include: • Preparing, setting up and clearing away equipment and materials for practical lessons. • Maintaining laboratories, equipment and scientific resources. • Ensuring chemicals and equipment are stored safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations. • Assisting with stock control, ordering and maintaining inventory records. • Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations where appropriate. • Carrying out routine maintenance, cleaning and checking of laboratory equipment. • Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and students. We Are Looking For Someone Who: • Has excellent organisational and time management skills. • Is reliable, proactive and able to work independently. • Has good practical skills and attention to detail. • Has a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety. • Enjoys working as part of a supportive team. • Has good ICT and communication skills. • Previous experience in a laboratory or school environment is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
