Security Engineer

We are supporting a leading independent provider of project engineering based in Redhill who are looking to add a Security Engineer to their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing information security plans and policies • Implementing protections and solutions to ensure and enforce the information security plans and policies • Centre of excellence for network and device security • Designing, building, testing, commission and troubleshoot security solutions (IDS/IPM/SIEM) • Writing and maintaining configuration/reconfiguration documentation, schematics, support guides and other documentation as required. The successful candidate will have: • Minimum of 5 years multi network exposure including hands on experience of designing and managing secure networks including: • Cisco Firewalls, Routers & Switches • Compliance Standards (ISO27001 and ITIL) • Security tools sets (SIEM, IDS/IPS) • Pen testing tools • Juniper platforms • Must hold, or have the ability to easily achieve SC Security Clearance • Excellent organisation with pro-active and can-do attitude • Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail Desirable: • Telecommunications background ideally with knowledge of satcom and/or maritime communications background. • UK MOD/Government networks experience.
