Job description

Not every young person learns in the same way. We're looking for resilient, compassionate and confident Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a specialist school near Great Yarmouth. This isn't a role where you'll spend the day sat beside a pupil completing worksheets. You'll be helping young people rebuild confidence, manage emotions, develop positive relationships and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible. Every day is different. One moment you could be supporting learning in the classroom, the next helping a student regulate emotions or celebrating a breakthrough they have worked hard to achieve. We're looking for people who: • Are patient, calm and resilient • Can build positive relationships with young people • Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults • Can de-escalate challenging situations confidently • Are passionate about making a genuine difference Experience from the following backgrounds would be welcomed: • Teaching Assistant • Youth Work • Support Work • Residential Childcare • Sports Coaching • Behaviour Mentoring • Armed Forces • Prisons What you'll gain: • Ongoing support and training on-site • Valuable SEN and SEMH experience • The opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people's lives • Competitive daily rates and ongoing support from Reed If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives, we'd love to hear from you.
