Job Title: Accounts Semi Senior Location: Hornchurch Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About Us: We are presenting a dynamic and growing accountancy practice dedicated to providing exceptional service to our diverse client base. Our team is committed to professional development and fostering a supportive work environment. Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Semi Senior to join our team. The ideal candidate will be working towards an ACA or ACCA qualification and have at least three years of experience in an accountancy practice. Key Responsibilities: • Preparing year-end accounts (FRS 102 & FRS 105) for a range of entities • Preparing bookkeeping and producing management accounts • Preparing and filing VAT returns for your own portfolio • Effectively manage time to ensure that jobs are finished within budget and deadlines are met. • Assisting with monthly client payrolls, including RTI and auto-enrolment • Helping clients use MTD-compliant software and cloud platforms • Assisting with onboarding new clients and maintaining accurate records • Liaise with clients to request records, resolve queries, and provide day-to-day support • Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns • Keeping up to date with current tax and accounting standards • Managing client communications and maintaining excellent relationships • Researching IT software, accounting and tax issues as needed • Support senior team members with ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks Skills and Attributes: • Studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification or AAT Qualified • Minimum of three years of practice experience. • Strong technical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset. • Confident in meeting and speaking with clients.
