Semi Senior Accountant Croydon - office based £30,000 - £35,000 per annum(with flexibility for the right experience) Permanent | Full-Time An established and growing accountancy practice in Croydon is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join their friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to broaden their experience whilst working with a varied and interesting client portfolio. The Role You will be responsible for managing a diverse range of clients and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services. Duties will include: • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies • Working with FRS102 and FRS105 reporting standards • Completion of self-assessment tax returns • Preparation of corporation tax returns • Preparation and submission of VAT returns • Bookkeeping for a variety of clients • Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day support and advice • Assisting with general practice accounting duties as required About You The successful candidate will have: • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance • Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies • Good understanding of FRS102 and FRS105 • Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns • Excellent communication and organisational skills • A proactive and client-focused approach Qualifications Experience is more important than qualifications, and applicants who can demonstrate strong practice experience will be considered, whether qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
