Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant

A small, but modern and successful accountancy firm based in Melton Mowbray are seeking Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant for a key job role with development prospects, flexible terms, study support and ongoing development. The firm are undergoing a period of growth and are looking to expand their workforce to deal with the workload. The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. Responsibilities: • Xero software - bank reconciliation, invoicing, payments etc. • Preparation of accounts for the director's review • Analysing receipts/bank statements on a spreadsheet • Posting journals • Fixed assets register • Preparing management accounts • Preparing personal tax returns and VAT returns • You would be working closely with clients and mainly involved in bookkeeping, VAT returns, tax computations and accounts preparation. Requirements: • Any experience using Xero, SAGE, and IRIS software, would be beneficial though not essential. • Studying AAT, ACCA or ACA or with the relevant practical experience • Minimum 2 years’ experience Benefits: • Competitive Salary • Free Parking • Full training and study support with qualifications, software, and job responsibilities • Flexible working hours • Company pension scheme
