SEN Teaching Assistant - Brighton
Full Time | September 2026 | Academics
Do you want to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs?
Academics are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for specialist schools across Brighton. You'll be supporting pupils with a variety of needs including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Global Development Delay and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Whether you have previous SEN experience, a background in care, youth work or psychology, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
• Supporting pupils throughout the school day
• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
• Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
• Working closely with teachers and specialist staff
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Requirements
• Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable
• Positive, resilient and caring attitude
• Ability to build strong relationships
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
