SEN Teaching Assistant Salary: £100-£115 per day. Location: Royston / Meldreth, Hertfordshire Hours: Full-Time, Term Time Only (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm) Contract: Temporary-to-Permanent Make a Real Difference Every Day! About Us We are a highly specialist independent day school supporting students aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD) Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Complex medical needs Sensory and physical impairments Many of our students benefit from support with communication, emotional regulation, confidence building, sensory processing, and preparing for successful adult lives. The Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping students learn, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students' learning and development across the curriculum Assisting students in the classroom, around the school, and within the local community Helping students build confidence, communication skills, and independence Supporting children and young people with a wide range of learning, sensory, physical, and medical needs Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality support Promoting inclusion, equality, and positive outcomes for every student Providing personal care and physical support where required Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Contributing to a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment What We're Looking For We welcome applications from candidates who: Are passionate about supporting children and young people Have a caring, patient, and positive approach Want to build a career in education, SEN, care, therapy, psychology, or support services Are willing to learn and undertake fully funded training and qualifications Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors Can build positive relationships and communicate effectively Are resilient, adaptable, and proactive Believe in focusing on strengths, abilities, and potential Work well as part of a team while also using their own initiative Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Essential: Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent).
