SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support | Long-Term Role | East LondonAre you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across east London, providing 1:1 support for pupils with moderate special educational needs. This is a long-term position where you'll play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential within a supportive school environment. The Role • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with moderate SEN. • Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom. • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement. • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans. • Promoting positive behaviour and helping create an inclusive learning environment. • Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to school staff. Requirements • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is essential. • Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis is highly desirable. • A patient, caring, and resilient approach. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
