EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant • Location: A6 Corridor, Lancashire • Start Date: 1st September • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm • Contract: Full Academic Year Cover (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity) • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The Primary School is seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support within the EYFS setting from September. This role involves supporting a non-verbal pupil who requires additional assistance throughout the school day, including personal care responsibilities. Day-to-day of the role: • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil within the EYFS classroom. • Support the child's communication, learning, and social development. • Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene needs. • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies. • Encourage participation in classroom activities and routines. • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. • Record observations and feedback on the pupil's progress where required. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary school setting. • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach. • Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • A willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities. • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
