SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker - Specialist Provision - Barnet Full Time | Term Time Only | September 2026 Starts Up to £120 per day | Long Term Roles (Temp to Perm) Long Term Futures are recruiting a number of compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants / Support Workers to join a specialist provision in Barnet, supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD and additional learning needs. We have multiple vacancies available and are looking for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people with additional needs. A background as a Support Worker, Care Worker, SEN Teaching Assistant or Healthcare Assistant would be highly desirable. Trial days will begin from 6th July, with successful candidates securing long-term roles for September 2026. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD, ADHD and additional needs • Support students with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning • Work closely with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals • Implement strategies linked to EHCPs and individual support plans • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment Ideal Candidate Will Have • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD • Background as a Support Worker, Care Worker, SEN TA, Healthcare Assistant or Youth Worker (highly desirable) • A calm, patient and resilient approach • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Location & Transport - Barnet, North London • Accessible via High Barnet, Totteridge & Whetstone and Finchley Central (Northern Line) • Overground links via New Barnet • Bus routes: • On-site parking available (school dependent) Why Work with Long Term Futures • Weekly pay - up to £125 per day • Multiple September vacancies available • Trial days starting 6th July • Long-term temp-to-perm opportunities • Free CPD including autism awareness, behaviour management and safeguarding • No day-to-day supply - long-term placements only • Dedicated consultant support from SEND specialists If you're looking to build a rewarding career supporting children with additional needs in a Barnet specialist provision, apply today with Long Term Futures.
