SEN Teaching Assistant - Chelmsford - September StartProspero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Chelmsford, starting September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and looking to develop their career within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development. The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills, strong communication abilities, and proven experience supporting children with SEN across the primary age range. CONTRACT DETAILS • Location - Chelmsford • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant • Type of work - Classroom & 1:1 SEN support • Start date - September • Duration - Ongoing / Long-term • Full time/part-time - Full time • Rate of pay - £90-£120 per day (depending on experience) • Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS • SEN experience is essential (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or other additional needs) • Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted) • Relevant TA or SEN-specific training desirable • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: • Hold Right to Work in the UK • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one • Provide two professional child-related references OTHER INFORMATIONIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
