SEN Teaching Assistant Huddersfield Location: Huddersfield Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: GBP95 - GBP110 per day (dependent on experience) About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Huddersfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, supporting them both academically and emotionally within a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH). Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment. Adapt learning materials to meet individual pupils needs. Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and communication skills. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, external professionals, and parents. Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion within the classroom. About You We would love to hear from you if you have: Previous experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting. A patient, caring, and resilient approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to use initiative and adapt to different pupil needs. A genuine desire to support children in achieving their full potential. A relevant qualification such as a Level 2/3 TA qualification or experience in SEN support is desirable but not essential.
