SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Mansfield
Contract: September 2026 - to transfer over to a permanent contact with the school
Hours: 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday to Friday
Setting: SEN School KS3 - KS4
About the Role
An inclusive SEN school in Mansfield is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2026. You will support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs, helping them regulate behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with learning.
The school provides a structured, nurturing environment with small classes, strong pastoral support and an experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
• Support pupils with SEN students across KS3 and KS4
• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning and emotional support
• Implement behaviour plans and risk assessments
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare procedures
The Ideal Candidate
Calm, resilient and nurturing, with experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils. Confident managing challenging behaviour and building strong relationships.
Essential Requirements
• SEMH/SEN/PRU or alternative provision experience
• Trauma-informed and restorative practice knowledge
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
