Job Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate SEND learning activities • Deliver targeted SEND interventions such as Speech and Language interventions • Assist with planning and preparing sensory and SEND-based activities • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support children's progress and wellbeing • Monitor and record children's learning and development, providing feedback to the class teacher • Encourage independence, curiosity and positive behaviour through effective classroom support Qualifications/Experience • Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role • Strong SEND knowledge relevant to the role • Experience with complex needs such as Autism, Non-Verbal, Speech and Language needs • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service • Right to work in the UK Next steps: If this SEN Teaching Assistant position sounds of interest, or you would like to find out more information, please contact Carly at Teach Plus.
