Job description

SEND Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Manchester - £100/day - September Start Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a dynamic secondary school in Manchester. This is a full-time role, starting in September, with a daily pay rate of £100. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEND team to provide focused, individualised support, helping students to succeed both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: • Providing tailored one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. • Assisting with the planning and delivery of individual education plans (IEPs). • Promoting an inclusive and positive classroom environment. • Supporting lesson activities and adapting learning materials to meet students' needs. • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and the SENDCo. Requirements: • Only applicants with previous experience working in schools or educational settings will be considered. • A sound understanding of SEND and effective support strategies. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A calm, patient, and empathetic manner with young people.
