Job description

SEND Teacher • Annual Salary: £150 - £200 per day • Location: Greenwich • Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to work with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role requires a compassionate and skilled educator who has previous experience in a school setting, ready to make a significant impact in the lives of students. Day-to-day of the role: • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students, ensuring all learning activities are accessible and engaging. • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of the class. • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support student learning and well-being. • Assess and record students' progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to facilitate student learning and development. • Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages students to achieve their potential. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Previous experience as a teacher, specifically with SEND students. • Strong understanding of the educational and developmental needs of children with disabilities. • Excellent planning and organisational skills to create effective learning experiences for SEND students. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies. • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
