SEND Tutor - Chester The Opportunity Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced SEND Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students across Chester. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to their individual needs and abilities. Tutors will help students build confidence, re-engage with education and make progress in core subjects while creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Tuition may take place in students' homes, schools, community settings or other agreed venues, depending on individual needs. Position Details * Location: Chester * Position: SEND Tutor * Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible) * Start Date: September 2026 * Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications The successful SEND Tutor will have: * A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) or substantial tutoring experience * Experience supporting children or young people with **Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)** * Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or working with small groups * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * A patient, adaptable and child-centred approach with the ability to tailor learning to individual needs To be eligible for this role, you must: * Hold the Right to Work in the UK * Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one * Provide two professional references relating to work with children or young people Apply Now If you're passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND, we'd love to hear from you.
