Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Client in their expanding and well-regarded Accountancy Practice. What You’ll Be Doing: • Taking full ownership of a senior client portfolio as the primary point of contact • Reviewing and signing off accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders • Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and CT600 returns • Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns while providing proactive tax planning advice • Leading and assisting on audit assignments where required • Overseeing and reviewing the work of junior and semi-senior team members • Identifying opportunities to add value and provide advisory support to clients • Supporting partners with advisory projects and strategic initiatives • Contributing to business development, client acquisition, and client retention activities • Attending client meetings and building strong, long-lasting professional relationships What We’re Looking For: • ACA or ACCA qualified • Significant post-qualification experience within a UK accountancy practice • Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation, corporation tax, and personal tax • Experience managing and reviewing the work of junior staff • Excellent client management and communication skills • Confident and professional with the ability to build trusted client relationships • Experience using IRIS or TaxCalc software • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service • Audit experience would be advantageous • Previous involvement in business development or client acquisition would be beneficial Benefits on Offer: • Clear and genuine pathway to Partnership • Hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home per week • Senior ownership of a varied and interesting client portfolio • Supportive, ambitious, and collaborative working environment • Opportunity to play a key role in the future growth and success of the firm If you’re looking for a varied and rewarding role with genuine Partnership prospects within a supportive and growing practice, we’d love to hear from you!
