Sheridan Maine is proud to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Croydon to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice environment. The Role: As Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering a full range of accounting and financial services. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality outputs while supporting junior team members and working closely with managers and partners. Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include: • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients including SMEs and limited companies • Producing management accounts and financial reports • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and tax computations • Liaising directly with clients, providing clear and proactive support • Supporting junior staff with technical queries and development • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines To be considered for this Senior Accountant position: The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified (or part-qualified with strong practice experience). You will have a solid background in an accountancy practice, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
