Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team within the professional services industry. This role is based in Liverpool and involves delivering high-quality accounting and financial services to clients. Description • Prepare and review statutory accounts and financial statements for clients. • Manage and oversee client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Provide expert advice on tax planning and financial strategies. • Support junior team members through mentoring and training. • Ensure timely submission of financial reports and tax filings. • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering professional guidance. • Analyse financial data to identify areas for improvement and growth. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Profile A successful Senior Accountant should have: • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with broad UK accounting & tax expertise • Experience preparing/statutory accounts and supporting audits • Confidence in corporate tax, VAT, personal tax, and self-assessment • Strong team leadership and coaching capabilities • Excellent IT skills - proficient in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel • High standards of accuracy with strong prioritisation and communication skills Job Offer • Competitive salary between £40,000 and £43,000 per annum. • Permanent position within a reputable company in Liverpool. • Supportive and collaborative company culture. • Comprehensive healthcare, pension & wellbeing support. • Continuous professional development - training, certifications, mentoring. • Team social events, volunteering days, and recognition initiatives.
