Senior Applied AI Leader (Telecoms, Media & Technology) - Generative AI - London (Hybrid) - Up to £115k A global organisation I'm working with, is looking for a Senior Applied AI Leader to grow and lead its Applied AI capability across major Telecoms, Media & Technology (TMT) clients. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role combining commercial origination, executive engagement and delivery accountability for advanced AI programmes at scale. This organisation operates at the forefront of AI and data transformation, working with a portfolio of well-established clients and continuing to invest heavily in Applied AI capabilities. AI is a central pillar of their growth strategy, with significant backing to scale delivery and expand their presence in this space. You will be joining a highly credible consulting environment with strong market reach, offering the opportunity to engage senior stakeholders and lead complex, high-impact programmes. For individuals who can combine commercial acumen with delivery leadership, there is clear progression into senior leadership roles, supported by a performance-driven culture and an expanding practice. You will work with: • Major Telecoms, Media & Technology clients, owning relationships from first conversation through to closed deal • C-suite stakeholders, pitching commercial AI solutions and translating technical capability into business and cost impact • Multidisciplinary delivery teams, directing architecture and engineering approach on complex, production-grade AI pipelines • The full Applied AI stack - large language models, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases and MLOps - across secure, enterprise-scale deployments • Responsible AI frameworks, embedding governance for model risk, privacy, bias and human oversight into delivery • A growing team, contributing to hiring, coaching and team performance Benefits: • Clear progression into senior leadership roles • Investment in professional development, including support toward cloud and AI certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Exposure to large-scale AI transformation programmes within the TMT sector • Opportunities for internal mobility across sectors and practice areas • A global platform to build and develop your professional profile • Hybrid working, based in London Key Experience: • Proven history of originating and closing consulting sales and managing large accounts within Technology, Media or Telecommunications sectors • Strong commercial understanding of generative AI and the modern AI stack, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases and MLOps • Experience leading delivery of production AI solutions, with accountability for outcomes and direction of architecture and engineering teams • Practical application of AI in areas such as telco operations, media supply chains, or software engineering productivity • Good understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and enterprise deployment considerations (security, data, operating model) • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders with a focus on business impact, cost, risk and time-to-value This is a great opportunity to take a leadership role in a growing Applied AI practice within a global consulting environment, with the scale, investment and client base to support long-term career growth.
