Job description

Senior Building Surveyor / Associate Director Join a growing independent consultancy where your impact will genuinely be felt A highly regarded independent Building Surveying consultancy based in London’s West End is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor or Associate Director as part of its next phase of growth. This is not a corporate environment where you disappear into a large team. It’s a genuinely entrepreneurial consultancy where surveyors are given responsibility, trusted with clients early and encouraged to play a visible role in shaping the business. The team is intentionally lean, commercially focused and relationship driven, offering broad exposure across commercial office and investor led instructions throughout London and beyond. What you’ll be doing • Delivering contract administration and project led Building Surveying work • Managing office refurbishments and Cat A+ fit out projects • Undertaking dilapidations, acquisition surveys and PPM instructions • Supporting landlord and tenant matters including licences to alter • Building strong relationships with investors, occupiers and asset managers • Playing a visible role in the growth of the team and wider business Sector exposure Predominantly commercial office projects across London, alongside wider investor, occupier and mixed portfolio instructions nationally. What they’re looking for • MRICS qualified preferred, although strong near APC candidates considered • Strong Building Surveying background within consultancy • Contract administration and project delivery experience essential • Comfortable operating in a client facing environment • Commercial mindset with strong ownership mentality • Someone who genuinely wants the exposure and responsibility of a smaller consultancy environment Salary & benefits • £55,000 to £85,000 depending on level and experience • Highly attractive bonus structure with strong earning potential • Hybrid working flexibility • Healthcare package • Mobile phone and laptop provided • Clear progression opportunity as the team grows • Direct exposure to business operations and leadership Why this role will excite you • Opportunity to help build and shape a growing consultancy team • Broad workload without being pigeonholed • High levels of client exposure from early stage • Entrepreneurial culture with genuine autonomy • Strong commercial office client base and quality project work • Visible role with real progression potential If you’re looking for more responsibility, closer client relationships and the chance to be part of something growing rather than just another number in a large corporate structure, this is well worth a confidential conversation. Apply now or get in touch for more information.
