Job description

• Provide leadership, supervision and support to the night care team. • Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred care in line with residents' individual care plans. • Promote residents' dignity, independence, privacy and wellbeing at all times. • Monitor residents' health and wellbeing throughout the night and respond appropriately to any concerns. • Support the implementation and review of care plans and risk assessments. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation. • Coordinate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure safe and efficient care delivery. • Liaise with healthcare professionals, emergency services and relatives when required. • Ensure effective communication and continuity of care through detailed shift handovers. • Support the induction, mentoring and development of new and existing team members. • Promote compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and company policies. • Participate in audits, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives. • Contribute to maintaining a calm, safe and well-managed environment throughout the home. • Act as a role model for professionalism, teamwork and excellent care practice. • Uphold the values and reputation of Parklands Care Home and Sandstone Care Group at all times. • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.
