Senior Civil Engineer

JOB ROLE: SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER LOCATION: FAREHAM SALARY: £50,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits Benefits: • Vitality healthcare • salary sacrifice scheme for annual leave • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing with service • Bonus of 10% if targets are achieved • Overage bonus • Bike to work scheme • working from home 2 days a week if desired • flexible working hours around core hours of 10 - 4 • parking on site Our client a fast growing and award winning consultancy is looking to add to their team a Senior Civil Engineer. Qualifications required for the Senior Civil Engineer post. • Preferred: Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [or working towards] with the Institution of Civil Engineers • A degree or HND in Civil Engineering Experience required to be considered for the role of Senior Civil Engineer • 5+ years’ consultancy experience, • Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of residential, commercial and retirement/care schemes • Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge, • Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works and highways elements. Role Specific Requirements • Work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes, • Work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities. • Undertake and manage team resource for design work for; • Drainage systems in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations and the SuDS Manual. • On and off-site highway features, in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes e.g. Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for Streets • Be responsible for writing fee proposals, • Proficient in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software, • Have knowledge of and willing to learn other engineering software, • Reviewing of junior team members reports, design and drawing work, • Attend client meetings and site visits, • Co-operate with the Quality Management System (QMS) through undertaking administrative activities • Mentoring and training of junior staff • Support our regional offices and other departments through knowledge sharing If you are a Senior Civil Engineer looking to work with a forward thinking practice then please get in touch for a full job description.
