The pharmacy team are forward thinking, passionate and continually strive to improve the delivery of patient focused pharmaceutical care and optimise the use of medicines within the Trust. Once training is complete the post holder will be able to: • Autonomously order medicines for individual patients • Request medication for in-patient use using the electronic order system • Refer suitable patients for follow-up medicine support with their local pharmacies via the DMS system • Assist with the review of ward stock lists to reduce risk and medication wastage • Proactively advise on and ensure the safe and secure storage of medicines on the ward • Line manage junior staff members • Be a named mentor for trainee staff and actively support them through their training and competencies For further details about this position, please contact the hiring manager.
